Sports Ministry

Why MVCC values sports:

God gave us gave us every good and perfect gift. He gives our health, our bodies, and the ability to do beautiful things with them. He made us interactive and competitive people. He did this so that we can worship Him. Mountain View Community Church realizes how important sport has become in not only the American culture, but throughout the world. MVCC embraces sport and wants to use it as a way to glorify the Lord. We believe that God uses sport as a vehicle to reach lost people and declare all the wonderful things that He has created.

Women’s Exercise Class: SOLID

God gave us bodies to be used for His glory. The purpose of SOLID is to build healthy exercise and nutrition habits so that we can live with energy, joy, peace, and strength. God also gave us a community to do this in; He never intended for us to be alone. SOLID will provide community and accountability in our effort to worship the Lord with our bodies.

We meet 3 times a week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday) from 8:30 - 9:45am for a workout geared towards strength and conditioning. Child care is not provided, but your children are more than welcome to play in the room with us during the workout! So bring your kids! The cost is $20 for 8 weeks!

Call the church office at 291-9199 for more details. Come and work out!

Prayer Room Information

The purpose of the sports ministry shares in the purpose of MVCC: To glorify God!

We want to redeem athletics in the eyes of the Lord. Isaiah 43:19 says, “For I am about to do a brand-new thing. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness for my people to come home. I will create rivers in the desert!” We believe that athletics can turn from an idol into an act or worship for the King; that God can take what has been warped and renew it.

Come see how MVCC is envisioning this through an interactive experience in the prayer room.
