Church, I pray that you are full of love and joy today. I find that when I choose joy my day is so much better! When I choose love I walk in God’s presence and experience such great peace with God and with others. I am not saying that there are no corresponding problems that we face, rather, that we face them with love and joy. When I look at problems through the grid of love and joy the mountains become mole hills. When I look at problems without love and joy the mole hills become mountains. I believe that I have the opportunity to choose which way it will be!

This past Sunday we looked at the Book of Exodus 15:22-17:7 and saw how, without love and joy, we end up grumbling and complaining. Since none of us want to be grumblers or complainers I challenge us all to choose love and joy. If you missed the message you can listen to it here!

The truth is, we all need to walk in more of the power of the presence of the Holy Spirit and have the fruit of the Holy Spirit growing more feely in our lives. The first two fruit that grow are Love and Joy! Let’s invite the Holy Spirit to fill us to overflowing and decide in our hearts to choose love and joy. In that way we are living out 1 Peter 4:8, “Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.” As a result we will have a full love tank to flow out from us to cover other's sins so we can be the ones to extend them grace.

Remember, God has loved us through Jesus on the cross and as we love Jesus in response to our salvation we are called to love others the same way that we have been loved.

I love you and I praise God we can serve Him together. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday!

In God’s Grip and for God’s Glory,
Fred
