We
at MVCC are glad that you’re with
us and we consider it a privilege to have you join us. We
know that there are many other things that you could be doing with
your Sundays. But we’re glad you chose to spend some
time with us.
We are here
to celebrate Jesus and are glad that you’re here to celebrate
with us. MVCC
had its first service May 1st 1994. In beginning this church
we wanted to start a church that we would enjoy and feel comfortable
in. We also
felt that there were others who, like us, would like a church that
was casual, relaxed, relevant to our lives, joyful, full of the
power and presence of God and a place where no previous church “experience” was
needed. God has been blessing us ever since. We are encouraged
as we continue to see people begin a personal relationship with
Jesus, be baptized in water and filled with the Holy Spirit.
We believe
that God is alive and well and wants to be a part of all of our
lives. He is a powerful God who has much to give us. In fact
He wants to fill our lives with joy and fulfillment. We enjoy
seeking God and would like to seek Him with you. One of the
ways we do this is through our Sunday services, but we also seek
God through small groups that meet in people’s homes
and playing on baseball, basketball and other teams. Furthermore,
we seek God in men’s, woman’s and youth retreats and
groups.
In my life, God is the most important thing. Only
Jesus could fill my empty life and make it richer, fuller and more
abundant than it was without Him. I have found that a personal
relationship with Jesus is better than a shot that hits nothing
but net, a home run, a perfect pass or a cool drink on a hot summer
day. My life is complete as I have a personal relationship
with Jesus. Nothing else can fill that void in your life or in
mine. The best thing is to become a follower of Jesus.
God has given us the passion that we want more—more of His
power and presence in our lives. We have an insatiable hunger and
unquenchable thirst for the things of God. I know that you have
that hunger and thirst too, and MVCC is a good place to meet Jesus,
the only one who can quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger.
Jesus tells us that we need to ask, seek and knock a then we’ll
receive, find, and doors will be opened. As we do God fills us
and satisfies us, we grow in His power and presence, we are ruined
for the ordinary, and we want more of all God has for us.
Let’s take this incredible journey of life together, with
Jesus. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Any suggestions
on how we can greater meet your needs, let us know. May God bless
you as you spend time with us today and letting us get to know
you in the future.
In His grip,
