What is it? Baptism is a covenant with God and his church to walk in the way of Jesus. Baptism is not a guarantee of salvation. It is a public sign that a person has repented of sins, received forgiveness of sins, died with Christ to sin, been raised to newness of life and received the Holy Spirit. It is an identification with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. Relevant scriptures regarding baptism include: Matthew 3:13-17, 28:18-20; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:2-6; I Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 2:12-13; Galatians 3:26-27; Ephesians 4:4-6 |
Who is it for? Baptism is for everyone who is a follower of Jesus. (Acts 2:41, 8:12-13) For more information on getting baptized pick up one of our “Baptism” brochures on the Info Table, located in the foyer, and talk to one of the pastoral staff or attend our Fully Devoted class on Sundays. |
